Corsair Announces Acquisition of Raptor Gaming

From DailyTech: Corsair is a company that has made it's name in the computer hardware market for years with RAM and then expanded into power supplies, gaming peripherals, and cooling devices. Corsair has now announced that it acquired Raptor Gaming to expand its PC gaming product line and distribution.

"Corsair and Raptor share the same goal, bringing best-in-class PC hardware to gamers around the world," said Andy Paul, President and CEO of Corsair. "Raptor Gaming's strong retail presence will allow us to offer a wider range of PC hardware to gamers across Germany."

Raptor Gaming makes gaming peripherals and is headquartered in Heisenberg, Germany. The company launched in 2004 and has a strong retail presence in Germany, which is the largest video game market in Europe. Products produced by Raptor gaming are widely available in major chain stores within Germany including Media Markt, Saturn, Real, Kaufland, and Conrad.

"As gamers ourselves, we formed the Raptor Gaming business to create high-performance PC gear to give gamers the absolute best gaming experience," said Dirk Schunk, CEO of Raptor Gaming. "Corsair's strong global brand and worldwide distribution will open up Raptor Gaming products to a wider audience of gamers around the world."

Corsair will receive the full product portfolio of keyboards, mice, headsets, and accessories from Raptor Gaming as part of the deal. These products will go into a new series alongside Corsair's existing Vengeance PC gaming products.
